And Thank you everyone I met last night! ❤️
So as you´ve probably learnt about me by now, I have an absolute hang up on sheet masks. I use them on myself and I use them in my profession. I love finding new ones I like, and this will be one of those.
Todays review is about the skin plumping hyaluronic acid hydrogel sheet mask from KICKS. Just the name makes me go hippety-hop and puts a smile on my face. Plumping and hyaluronic acid in a sheet mask? That’s music to my ears. 🤪
The mask is infused with a highly concentrated serum to improve radiance, elasticity and smoothness.
- Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for plumping
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 for firming
- Glycerin to replenish skin
See pictures below for description on how to use,
The hydrogel-material allows mask to contour face perfectly.
It might look a bit weird but I assure you it feels really nice! It has a cooling feeling, and since my skin this season is really dehydrated it tingled a bit in the first couple of minutes. But afterwards, my skin was smooth, felt really calm and most definately rehydrated!
And to my happy surprise, there was quite a lot of serum left in the package so I will be adding some ”leftovers” tonight!
The mask can be purchased at KICKS for the cost of 99SEK. They also have other sheet masks, so head on over here and find your perfect match!
So I’ve been wanting to get some new eyeshadow palettes from Zoeva. I haven’t used them before as I have so many favorites already from other brands and I figured I would just stick to them. Why risk buying something that might not add up, and also maybe use up what I have?
Then I happened to find the below palettes while at Sephora (the smaller one was even on sale) and I thought what the heck.
I’m so happy I bought them! The pigments are fab. Easy to use, highly pigmented and no fall out. (Granted I have only worked with it on 4 faces but I am left wanting more)
In Sweden ZOEVA is sold at SEPHORA. The large palettes (15shades) are 385SEK and the smaller ones (10shades) are 255. If you live in Sweden and want to take a closer look at the ZOEVA assortment you can go here
I will most definately be adding some more palettes from Zoeva to my kit! I think the next palette will be a blush-quad.
Have you tried anything from ZOEVA? Do you have any favorites?
THAT, might just be the looongest name a product has? But WHO cares! It does exactly what its name says it will. It gives your complexion a fresh glowy tint. Makes your skin look like skin, just with an additional healthy glow to it. Kind of dewy fresh, if you know what I mean? Oh, what it is?
It´s the new foundation/base product from LUMENE. It´s a moisture-packed skincare and makeup hybrid that hydrates AND perfects the complexion. It has a gel-like texture that instantly blends inte complexion for a dewy, youthful and second-skin look. It contains pure arctic spring water and nordic algae that deeply hydrate the skin for up to 24 hours!
The skincare infused makeup can be used as is, or as a base for other foundations if you prefer more coverage. I love using the instant glow fresh tint as a primer. So after I am done with my skincare routine, and after moisturizing I apply the new instant glow fresh tint to my entire face. It gives a healthy glow and gives a perfect base to my foundation (right now mixing 2 that will be up in a near future)
The instant glow fresh tint comes in three shades; light, medium and dark. I am (surprisingly) a medium.
It has really been a while since a foundation made me go ”ooooh”. I´ve had a couple of ”yeah, I like this”, but this is the first time in quite some time that I have been really, really positively surprised at how a product looks and feels on my skin. I love applying it and I love how it makes the rest of my base-products go on effortlessly on top. My dry skin absolutely thirsts for this, and it is the first base-product in a long time that doesn´t show off the dry patches of my face. On the contrary, it smooths the dry spots well and makes my skin look healthy and fresh – just as promised!
It was so difficult to get a pic that shows the effect, but can you see where the back of my hand kind of looks moist? That’s the skin tint! And I kid you not, my hand before application was like sandpaper.
Head on over to Lumene to have a closer look!
KICKS is one of the largest store-branches we have in Sweden when it comes to beauty. They have stores in pretty much every corner of our country.
And today they are opening their new flagship store located in central Stockholm with 3 floors of beauty! Last night there was a pre-party for people in the industry. Bloggers, journalists, makeup artists, hairstylists and influencers all met up for the party. Tove Styrke played, glasses were full and each and every brand had at least one representative there to demonstrate their products.
The new flagship store is 1500 square-meters big and has about 70 specialists employed. There are hairdressers, nail-bars, makeup services, skintherapists with treatment rooms and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The concept is out of this world and the store is smashingly fab! Do go if you are around 💄💅🙌 They have 20% off this whole weekend 😍
I only stayed for about an hour and a half, as I’m working two jobs today and have a long day.
Will update tonight with a pic of the goodie-bag of products I got with me home to try out.
Thank you Kicks and Patriksson communication for an awesome party and congratulagions to the new store! ❤️
Anyone that knows anything about me, knows that I love serums! When it comes to my skincare-routine, there is always more than one serum involved both AM and PM.
I know, I know, I always say don’t go crazy and keep it to layering no more then three at at time. And then sometimes me myself I also go a little cray cray and slap them drops on i 10 layers.
And there are SO many good serums out there, I mean how is one to decide? Well, it isn’t always easy and frankly the only way to find a serum that suits you and your skin is basically to try it. But to really make a noticeable difference, you should give skin at least 3-4 weeks before you might see any real results. Granted, in some cases you might feel and see the difference sooner while in others it might take longer. All depending of course on what your expectations are, what you are after at what condition your skin is to start with. You need to be patient and have realistic expectations. I think that is when skincare can really WOW you
As a lover of serums (among the twenty five billion other things I love about skincare) I am always curious to try new brands and up next will be the Swedish brand ANNMARIE BORLIND.
The brands philosophy is to make an exclusive, effective and healthy line of products based on natures finest ingredients. With beauty, environment and health in close co-operation.
Cold pressed vegetable oils, ecological extracts from herbs, clean thermal-water from their own source and soft, pleasant natural scents are the foundation of each product. Ingredients that have proven results and that support skins own natural functions.
Free from silicones, mineral oils and gene-manipulation. Not tested on animals. Renewable raw materials and packaging.
Multiple award-winners for their skincare concept and certified by ECO-control and CSE, the sustainability standard for environmental friendly companies.
There are three different serums also known as ”shakes”, due to their 2-phase nature. One part oil, one part water the serums need to be shaken before use.
All three of the ”shakes” are suitable for all ages and types of skin, but each one stands out in its own way. Let me break them down;
The HYALURON SHAKE is a moisturizing, skin-softening and regenerating facial oil in two phases. The oilphase with jojoba, coconut and soy-oil is easily absorbed and leaves skin soft and smooth.
The water-soluble phase contains extracts such as red algae that stimulates skins own production of hyaluronic acid. Together with botanical hyaluronic acid from chinese snow fungus (aka white jelly mushroom – Tremella fuciformis), Aloe Vera and thermal water from their own source. The combination of these ingredients make the HYALURONIC SHAKE intensely moisturizing.
This serum is suitable for all ages and skintypes, but is especially good for dehydrated skin.
To be used under day and/or night cream or alone after cleanser and toner. One of the benefits of the serum being a two-phase product is that no emulsifiers are needed. The soft scent is all natural and its color is from Malachite.
– ROSE BLOSSOM VITAL CARE
ROSE BLOSSOM VITAL CARE is a facial oil with a vitalizing, moisturizing and calming concentrate that protects skin from pre-mature aging caused by environmental factors. Stem-cells from the Schwarzwald rose counteracts the breakdown of skin’s own collagen while extracts from the Damascena rose stimulates the production of new collagen. Botanical oils give moisture to the skin leaving it soft and smooth.
The two-phase; the rosewater and the oils make making a product without emulsifiers possible. The two-phase also makes ingredients optimally effective.
When shaken and mixed just prior to use, they reach their full vitalizing effect and skin is left with a renewed and healthy glow.
The ROSE BLOSSOM VITAL CARE serum is absorbed quickly without leaving any greasy residue, thus it is perfect as a base for makeup. It is suitable for all ages and types of skin including sensitive. To be used int the AM and PM after cleansing but prior to day and/or night cream.
– ORANGE BLOSSOM ENERGIZER
ORANGE BLOSSOM ENERGIZER is a two phase serum full vitamins and antioxidants to help stimulate cell-regrowth, counteract premature aging of the skin, and to nourish and moisturize. It contains extracts from blood orange and an energizing scent from orange blossoms. It also contains the exact right amount moisture and lipids for skins natural balance and carrot oil for a nice tone. The high level of vitamins C and E protect skin from free radicals. Coldpressed vegetable oils such as jojoba and macadamia nut, lay ontop of the fruit-and flower extracts like a thin quilt that protects the vitamins and helps transport them into skin.
Absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. Skin is left feeling soft and with a renewed glow. Suitable for all ages and types of skin but especially good for dry, gloomy or stressed skin. Can be used in the sun. Apply after cleansing in the AM and/or PM before day or night cream.
As you can see I have already started using the HYALURON-SHAKE. My skin is always dry, but this season is always worse. The HYALURON-SHAKE has moved into my routine both AM and PM and am adding the ROSE BLOSSOM VITAL CARE and ORANGE BLOSSOM ENERGIZER shortly.
There will be more to read about my thoughts on the ”shakes” once I’ve used them for a while, but let me leave you with a 👍👌 so far! Hail to the serums! 😍❤️🙌

Oh Please someone tell me that the days of sunlight are actually just around the corner? I’m so tired of this darkness. My skin is transparent, lackluster and drier than a snakes leftover used and worn out skin. PLEASE I plead, show me just an itsy bitsy bit of sunshine m’kay?
Oh wait, since I live in Sweden I have another three months at least of cold and darkness. Of skin like a desert with not even a hallucination of water in sight.
Lucky there are good tricks and products around to help a girl out 🤪 Like this new mask!
One of my favorite brands when it comes to sheet masks is ACASIA skincare. There are two sheetmasks available already; LIFT ME UP sheet mask and START ME UP sheetmask. This coming april, ACASIA skincare are adding a third sheet mask to their line of products;
BRIGHTENING sheet mask
The brightening sheet mask is a single-use mask that will give your skin a boost of lustre and moisture. It’s full of vitamins C & E together with hyaluronic acid to give skin lustre, elasticity and a more even skin tone. Your skin will be left with less visible fine lines and with an improved moisture-balance and skin-barrier. The mask also has a section that wraps under you chin. The sheet itself is face-shaped with holes for the eyes, nose and mouth. The mask is suitable for all skintypes.
My skin right after removing the sheet mask. Moist, plumped and glowy.
So did I like it? Hell yes! I’m not surprised at all, as I already love and use the other two sheet masks from ACASIA SKINCARE. The lift me up is always a given for brides and perfect any time you need that Cinderella-Quick fix.
Will I buy it again? Well, pardon my French, but do bears poop in the woods? The answer is obviously yes yes yes! This will be a new favorite and I congratulate ACASIA SKINCARE for doing it again!
Each sheet mask is drenched with 23ml active serum and they cost 125SEK each.
The ACASICIA SKINCARE brand also has a cleanser, a 24h moisturizer and a cream-mask that can be used as a sleep mask aswell.
If you live in Sweden you are in luck as you can head on over to for instance to here (adlink)
If you don’t live here, find someone to send you them! It will be worth it for sure!
At the Daisy Beauty expo this past weekend (which I wrote about here) Dermalogica was one of the skincare brands there to do mini-facials and to show their new products. One of latest additions to the range of products is the new cleanser for dry skin (YAY), intensive moisture cleanser.
I’ve always had skin more to the dry side, and especially this season in our Swedish climate. Cold air outside, dry and warm air inside. The constant change of heat and cold makes skin confused and as a result skin can feel tight and dry, two telltale signs of dehydrated skin.
The new Intensive moisture cleanser is a light, creamy cleanser that removes both makeup and impurities at the same time as it nourishes dry skin. It’s enhanced with BioReplenish Complex™, a lipid-enriched formula that helps minimize the damage of proteins and lipids that are vital to defend against dryness. The complex is combined with phytoactives from Coconut and Murumuru Seed Butter that help protect barrier lipids and preserve the skin’s natural resilience resulting in a smoother feel after cleansing. To add an extra refreshing feeling to the skin, Dermalogica have added invigorating extracts of Citrus, Palmarosa and Jasmine. The cleanser rinses away easily, leaving skin cleaner, softer and more luminous.
This is one of the products I tried straight away, as I was actually on the lookout for a new cleanser. The instruction says to apply on dampened skin, but eager as I was I slapped it straight onto dry skin which worked just fine. It has a soft scent to it which makes me happy as I hate when products have that artificial over-the-top perfumed smell.
My favorite routine when it comes to oil-cleansers or as in this case cream, is to massage it onto dry skin until it feels like it’s almost absorbed and then add a bit of warm water and massage it again.
Granted, I’ve only used it a couple of times so far, but my first impression is that I really like it! My skin feels clean, but without that stretchy feeling if you know what I mean? You know when your skin feels so dry it’s like it shrunk a size. Of course, I still have to do my moisturizing routine immediately as usual, but I di feel that the intensive moisture cleanser doesn’t strip my skin of its natural moisture.
I also like the bottle itself, as it comes in a handy pump dispenser which allows for easy portioning of product.
In Sweden, the new cleanser will be available in store one time during March. A bottle of 150ml will cost 425SEK and a bottle of 295ml 635SEK.
The past two days have been, well ones to remember that’s for sure!
For the 5th year in a row, Daisy Beauty expo has taken place. So what is the expo? Well, it has it’s roots in DAISY BEAUTY and Daisy beauty magazine, or more correctly the people behind the Magazine, founders editor in chief Kicki Norman and her partner Sam Bergenstrahle.
Since the beauty-scene in Sweden is widely spread all over the country, but most open houses, press events and so on take place in Stockholm, Daisy beauty have put tougher this awesome expo to gather the beauty-community, brands, influencers, bloggers and journalists all at the same time for two days of lectures and the chance to meet and greet several brands at the same time.
So, the expo starts on a Friday with interesting lectures. This year was no exception although I had to leave after the first one for a job. (Don’t worry, I went back for the mingle later)
This years first lecture was editor in chief herself Kicki Norman that spoke about rules and regulations in Sweden regarding ”influencing”. That is i.e, how do I mark a post that is a collaboration with a brand? What counts as a collaboration? How do I expose myself to my readers, the importance of professionalism in different ways, and being my brand. Extremely interesting and a lot of good points I took with me.
Next up was Irène von Arronet, CEO for Nature Treats, that are the distributors of the brand Annemarie Börlind. About natural ingredients and sustainability. Sorry I missed this!
Philip Berkovitz, founder of the brand PHILIP B, spoke about the rejuvenating benefits of botanicals in haircare. Unfortunately I missed this as well, but I got the chance to talk to Philip during dinner in the evening, and I will be writing more about that in a separate post. Let me leave you with he is such a fascinating and interesting person!
Then the duo behind the Norwegian succes brand ELIXIR, founders Marianne Fjortoft and Kristine Borge told the story behind their cosmeceutical brand. (Missed out on this too)
Last but not least (yes, missed this too) was a lecture held by dietician and Dr in Medicine Gisela van der Ster about trends in food, healthy food and our eating in general. Does our relationship to food affect the way we look? I heard afterwards that this was extremely interesting so I do hope that I will have the opportunity to hear her speak at another occasion.
Day 2 is like a HUGE exhibition, fair, gathering of beauty-nerds and editors galore and brands within everything from skincare, haircare, styling-tools, hair-removal, makeup, nailcare, brow products and anything worthy of adding the tag beauty-product to it. The shorter description of the expo is heaven.
Persons in the community such as beauty-bloggers, beauty-journalists, beauty-vloggers and so on, have the opportunity to talk to so many different brands at one and the same occasion. From cosmeceutical brands, to ecological, to vegan, to mineral. Products suited from head to toe, to remove hair or to stimulate growth, from makeup to makeup remover, from leave-in products to ones you rinse out, from tightening to brightening, products that take You from Snow White pale to bronzed-up Goddess.
I did already use the word Heaven once right?
Among others Depend had a room full of balloons and cake,
where you could get your nails done, brows done and lashes applied. One could also mix ones own shade of nailpolish 💅😍
Sorry for dark pic, the above is the two shades I made!
As you can probably understand by now, there will be a whole lot more posts regarding my day at the expo and more about the brands I met and new products launching.
I will leave you with a few pictures and a promise that there will be much more to come 🥰

A big shoutout to Sam Bergenstrahle who I know has worked his ass off (pardon my French) for several months to put this all together. Thank you also for great service at hotel Birger Jarl that was our venue on Friday and Strandvägen 7a where the expo took place on Saturday.
