Taking a winner to bed

One of the winners at the Daisy Beauty awards for the best products of 2018 was the overnight moisture mask from Reserol that won in the category best mask of the year. I have tried it a couple of nights before, and after feeling kind of tired (hungover?) post-gala I decided to take a winner to bed!
I’ve written about Reserol as a brand here and now I will give you my opinion on the winning mask.
Let’s start with what it is and what it’s supposed to do.

RESEROL OVERNIGHT MOISTURE MASK
WHAT IT IS
A night-time mask with hexapeptides, shea butter and vitamins that help preserve skin moisture *.
Provides a soft and smooth skin, reducing visible lines and protecting the skin from dehydration.
HOW TO USE IT
Apply mask to clean and dry skin in the evening twice a week. Spread a thin layer over the entire face and neck. Massage in for 5 seconds and allow the mask to sit overnight. No product should be used on top of the mask. Clean the face the following morning with a mild cleanser. The product is intended for external use only. Do not use together with exfoliating products or on irritated skin. Avoid contact with eyes.
KEY INGREDIENTS
DIFFUPORINE PEPTIDE
Diffuporin peptide’s (hexapeptide-37) level of aquaglyceroporin, responsible for water transport into the skin *. In vitro studies have shown that well-functioning transport leads to a strengthened skin barrier and increases the moisture content of the skin. Diffuporin peptide also stimulates cell renewal in the upper skin layer, which can make the skin healthier *.
SHEA BUTTER
Shea butter contains high levels of stearic acid and oleic acid which are naturally moisturizing and can improve skin elasticity.
VITAMIN E AND C
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) and Vitamin C are powerful antioxidants that together can protect against irradiation and thus protect the skin from premature aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation.
SQUALANE
Squalane is a natural, non-comodogenic, humectant with rapid skin penetration, which can also have antioxidant and mild antibacterial properties.

AND WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT IT?
Well, the really short review would be praise reserol. Or how about I get why it won? It is amazing and it really gives my complexion a boost of moisture over night and makes my face look and feel rested. It has a nice feel to it and a soft scent. It goes on smoothly and is absorbed quickly without any sticky residue, meaning ones face doesn’t stick to the pillow case. I do believe that the overnight moisture mask from Reserol will be a constant in my skincare routine. It fits perfectly into any routine one might be using at the moment for that extra little something something.
